Support for the able and disabled

Who we are

We are Rainbow Rural centre (Gt Dunmow) C.I.C. (community Interest company)  We are based on Sallet's organic farm, Sallet's Green, just off High Easter Road, Nr Barnston.

How we work

Rainbow Rural centre is based on Sallet's farm, which is our family run organic farm. We have set-up Rainbow Rural to run alongside the working farm to enable us to provide meaningful access to our community of able, disabled and disadvantaged.  Rainbow Rural is a registered Care Farm, and provides a unique view of animal care, conservation, horticulture, equine therapy, wild life monitoring, where your food comes from, rural skills, the list is very long!

To ensure the well-being and safety of our clients and staff/volunteers we ask everyone entering the Rainbow Rural community farm to follow the government guidelines towards covid-19.

As an added precaution as an Essex day-care provider we are asking all those who are able to before arrival to have taken a negative LFT (Lateral Flow Test). If this is required through other means we are not asking for a separate LFT to be taken. Our staff and volunteers are required to take LFT for their level of attendance, besides exemption.

Spring Wear

·      Wellies / heavy duty boots / old trainers

·      Waterproof coat / jacket / hoodie

In the Spring it is particularly good for planting, due to the rain and sunshine. Though don’t be fooled as it can be cold, as the wind can pick up more in the open space on the farm, especially if there is rain.
